Tournament Structure, Rules, and Demonstration

  • Structure: Each of the two 16-team tournaments are structured the same. Teams will be placed in either beginner or experienced level brackets of eight teams of a four-game round-robin tournament. The teams that win and score the most are advanced to a playoff of one or two additional games. In one sense it is competitive, but most will tell you (including those who have never played before) it’s pretty low-key and mostly just fun.
  • Rules: International Pickleball Tournament rules are observed, though there are no referees. We do have volunteers to help manage ball retrieval, reporting scores, and moving teams from one game to the next. Here are the official rules for Pickleball.
  • Demonstration: Because a lot of people are still becoming familiar with the sport, we have provided this very basic video demonstration to help begginers with the basic idea.
